I was wondering if a E30 89 318 tranny would bolt into my 92 318 E36?

Don't think so... Bellhousing bolt pattern is the same, but pretty sure that the clutch setup is completely different. I just double checked realoem, and the partnumbers for slave cylinder are different.

ok, well i have the whole clutch assembly and slave and everything, i was just wondering if the driveshaft will be too short or will it mate up fine. I seen people swap the e36 trannys into there e30's no problem but do they have to use the e36 driveshaft, or stay with e30 or have some custom one made?
