Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Gray

I just bought my 1991 318is this past thursday. This makes e30 #2 for me, car #26 total not including the race cars and motorcycles. I currently own a 1990 325is Bronzit as my previous DD (which is technically for sale). The story behind this car is, it was owned by a buddy of mine for the past 10 years but he just recently jumped to an e46 and felt two cars was too much. So with some persuasion he sold it to me for a little bit of a deal so we could keep it in our BMW family (all of our friends own at least one BMW) I absolutely love this car, it doesn't have the low end torque that my 325is has but it is an absolute blast to drive, and I dare say I like it more than my 325is.  Anyway enough of me rambling, on to pics:

Car has one problem, when you start it up its running in "limp mode" (term from my turbo car days) I am going to post in the engine section you can read all about it.  Oh and the tach doesn't work, other than that everything works.

1991
200k miles
NO SUNROOF

yeah I couldn't let this one slip through the cracks, plus the owner lives 3 blocks away from me, and I have known him for about a year and half

Thanks, for my weekend warrior, I chose between an 1988.5 Detomaso Pantera Amerisport Gt5-S, my motorcycles or the ITA race car (which is being raced by a friend now due to me being in grad school

The body and interior are flawless

I need to do the following

1. fix the start up problem
2. fix the tach its not working
3. fix the gas gauge it reads only full to half tank
4. General maintenance
5. Clean the engine bay'
6. Power wash the under side
7. eventually get it re-sprayed

Mods

1. Tint the windows to lower the greenhouse effect
2. Put the short throw shifter in
3. I want to build a separate motor with a turbo set up on it. I found a complete 92 m42 local...I am assuming you can use this motor in our cars? Only difference might be wiring harness?

other than that. DRIVE THE SHIT OUT OF IT :D

you wont have any problems using the 92 engine. just a different harness and intake. the engine in mine is out of a 95 and its running perfect.
