Title: wheel bearing wear bc sports suspension?
Post by: ///m42 sport on September 06, 2008, 11:40:59 PM
Anyone else notice their wheel bearings wearing out faster b/c of lower suspension?  My rear wheel bearings have less than 100k miles and are already going out!  I'm running on H/R sports, Bilstein sports.  This is pretty annoying since I paid to have them put in last time...at $300 per side.  I'm gonna be doing it myself this time.

wow, you have had your car for a long time, it is mainly based on the way you drive/tire balance i think. if you autocross or do HPDEs, they are going to wear out a lot faster

Well because of camber, maybe?

yeah, i think it can accelerate wear. I replaced one about 2 years ago and it failed again this year on the nurburgring :)

Sorry OT... color me jealous.  LOL about running ur e30 on the ring, not about the failure.  Would love to see a pro video of an e30 running the ring.  Especially an m42,
