hey all... i'm working on my 91' 318i found some sides but having a tough time finding a "is" front valance. i did however find this for sale. it looks like it could be from a pre 88' and i'm wondering if it will work with my car with the plastic bumpers.
here is the link http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/pts/813698581.html (http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/pts/813698581.html)

Thats from an early model...I think it will fit but it won't be the stock valance that actually came with your car in 91'.

Your best bet is to check with Patrick @ BMA Parts...its like $250 new.
A used one will go for about $150 shipped. I have one on my red car if you're interested...but it isn't perfect.

im thinking about getting one myself. I just dont know how it compares to the OE's quality

That is OE.
Bavarian Auto Recyclers parts out cars they're located in Rancho Cordova, CA. Near Sacramento so if you're not in CA shipping will kill you on that.
-
It costs me about 22$ through UPS to ship valance across coast

Contact Todd over on R3Vlimited or E30tech.com. His member name is: td325ic
Tell him I told you to contact him and ask if he has any late model valences for sale.
I'm constantly buying parts from him and he will make sure that everything is crated or packaged amazingly well, takes great pictures of the product, takes pictures of the products package, will send you the tracking number right after paying it seems haha, great guy, honest, AMAZING prices, the works.
I just bought a valence from him and a new front bumper in which he painted the trim SEM trim black for me and cleaned everything up and his shipping prices were super cheap.
