Hey guys! Just checkin in as I just picked up a '93 318is coupe 5-spd (I think that's what the "s" means...). It's got some cosmetic stuff to be fixed and 190k on it. It runs great and I picked it up for $1500 just the other day.

I really have no idea about these cars, but I'm very willing to learn and hopefully I can learn it all here.

But here's my story about why I got this car.

I also have an 03 sebring that was my car that I did some mods to and even ran it at the 1/4mi strip a couple of times... but the last time, I blew my motor.
3/6 pistons were destroyed.... bummer.

So I found this bimmer for pretty cheap and picked it up as my DD till i rebuild my sebring's motor.

here's pics of both my rides:

basically, I want to get this bwm workin great and probably needs just about a new interior so if you know anyone/anywhere that I can get new door panels and seat coverings and what not, just let me know!

I think I might like it here  haha

Hey, E36 looks nice, I'm sure a good buff and polish will bring out that paint. Once you get the Bimmer sorted I'm sure you'll love it (Dare I say it... more than the sebring). The S is pretty simple it means sport. On the e30's they had upgraded seats, suspension (Slightly), rims, only two doors, and a few other things. Although it may lack a little on the power side and exhaust and chip will help it out.

cool. Right now, I'm just getting it in top working condition and my current project is figuring out the hack job that was a stereo install by a previous owner...

oh and i put in 93 oct gas, and it runs MUCH better now... I didn't know it needed that... ha
