Title: M30 flywheel on M42?

I have recently replaced my clutch with a clutch kit from an M50 (e36 325i), but I find it too heavy, and I am really disappointed at the way it revs up (SLOW). Searching around, I found a thread talking about swapping an e30 325i flywheel and clutch kit, because it is lighter in weight.
What I am curious about is if this will also work on the e36, since the thread was intended for the e30.
I am not familiar to the M42 engine, and I'm not sure what parts are interchangeable -engine/tranny/diffwise- between the e30's and e36's.
