Title: Exhaust Manifold e36 M42
Post by: bearsbmw on August 17, 2008, 04:26:15 PM
Ok so I'm looking at my manifold today and I notice a small run of oil moving down the engine block from the bottom of the manifold gasket... Im not sure if I spilled oil while doing a oil change or something else is going on anybody have imput ? ... Also I'm going to be removing the manifold soon for the turbo and the bolts just look rusted beyond removal so  what mesures should I take to ensure I don't break these studs on removal

Excuse my grammer and spelling

thanks,  cheers!

spray them down with wd40 or liquid wrench or something similar. as well, its not a huge deal, you can get new studs if they do break.

could be your valve cover gasket, your manifold wont be leaking anything...
