hey guys the 318is have a model specific rack or will the 325 rack work?  let me know so i can order one and finally fix my steering.

Your best bet is to get a rack from an e36 car to get a significantly quicker ratio. Otherwise I think all the e30 racks are the same.

true but i don't want to mess with the modifications.  is there anymore clarification as if all the e30 racks are the same

As far as I know, there are 3 different racks; manual, power and a quicker ratio one on the Euro M3 (maybe the US M3 too, not sure). So you can take one of any normal E30, the 318is mostly have power racks I think.

I have a power rack for sale, but I'm in the UK :(

If you can, you should think about fitting an E36 or Z3 rack though. They are a very good upgrade.

I recently put a re manufactured rack in my car and i don't feel satisfied. its a power rack but its still sluggish in town. I plan on doing an E36 rack swap and plan on removing the power steering in the process.
