Post by: Ruger on August 11, 2008, 12:07:24 AM
Hi folks

Just wondering if anyone can clarify that the e36 m42/m44 gearbox (getrag 240) will fit into e30.
Its coming out of a 1997 e30 318is so i itll be a 1.9 m44 and hoping to use the gearbox in my e30 318is.

Thanks heaps!

The gear ratios are different. It will require you to change your diff gears, unless you like 4000+ rpms at highway speeds.
