I'm loving your car! Tell me about your rims and your M42 badge. Where did you get them? Another beautiful car in the diamant schwarz club! Cheers.

Thanks everyone, I was lazy when I said it was stock, its -mostly- stock. It has a ghetto exhaust system(obvious), and some bilsteins. It has a momo steering wheel as well, the wheels obviously too.

The badges I bought from a member here (I think) who was selling them.  The black ones occasionally pop up for sale on r3vlimited.com.  I'd say they add a very nice touch to the car.

BTW, my car is not that good looking. The bonnet is covered in rock trips from the PO from what it seems drove behind a damned gravel truck or something. When I bought the car there was some rust under the left tail light that's beginning to show again. There was also a giant rust hole in the valence that was cut out and patched up with some crap sheet metal (A real bad looking job if you see it).  The clear coat is peeling and the paint cracking at the base of the C pillar on the driver's side.
I'm betting the car was also wrecked at one point when it was near new, because the the rear valence appears to have been replaced (notice the dual exhaust cutout) and when I took out the rear seat I cut my hand on glass from what appeared to be the original rear window.

The wheels are 16 inch Mille Miglias which I bought off of BF.C several years ago after I bought the car with trashed basketweaves, they fit the car well. You can probably pick up a set off of a site such as VW vortex.

That's too bad! At least its latest owner is treating it nice! When i was shampooing my interior i noticed i had broken glass under my carpet! My car has never been wrecked though. Nice car though don't get yourself down its an old car, paint doesn't last forever :p

I'm surely not, I've owned the car for several years now, doesn't bother me too much. I'll probably get it done eventually. Otherwise the car is in perfect shape. Except for the damned busted heater core leaving a giant stain on my passenger side carpet.

Title: an update
Post by: Asbradley21 on December 10, 2008, 10:55:14 AM
After the accident I got all the damage repaired professionally and the hood painted and the dents removed. 800 bucks for all of it. I consider that money well spent.

Not only did he paint the hood, the left side fender and door. But to blend he also painted pretty much the entire left side of the car which fixed where my clear coat was fucked up and peeling. As well as the passenger side, covering up some more rock chips from the PO. So I'm happy.

I lamin-x'd the lows, highs, and fogs. I previously had put some euro trim on it and some clear turns which I smoked. Last night I swapped wheels with my dad so he's got the Miglia's and I'm running the ASA's. I also made myself some cup holder's like another member here that fit into the slot in the console next to the e-brake.
