Title: steering wheel locked

i just tried to swap to an MTech 1 steering wheel, i got the airbag out no problem, and i put the new one on, however now i cant turn my key?!?! or the steering wheel, what the hell happened and how do I fix it? thanks

move the wheel aroudn while trying to turn the key

well i figured it out, but now it seems like my steering wheel is rubbing on something, i put the spacer on then the wheel, then another spacer then the washer then the nut but i can feel somethign rubbing on something inside

Did you remove the white plastic plunger?

yeah that was the problem i got that now however, when i put the wheel on there is a gap between the base of the wheel and the column trim, is this normal?
