Title: help! damned oil pan!!

no matter what i do when i tighten the oil pan bolts up..they lossen right back up and the damned thing starts leaking again! its really startin to get to me sence ive fixed it i know atleast 6 times. it usaully waits about 1 month or so after tightening them for it to start leaking again.
any suggestions?

Are we talking about lower or upper oil pan? Locktite and silicone sealant always works for me. Paper gaskets are garbage.

ha ha so yes use lock tite on all of your oil pan bolts take them out one by one and then re tighten them and tighten them good, if you can buy new stronger bolts.

I have three bolts on my lower pan that do the same thing. I think they have been over tightened at some time and the threads are weak. I plan to heli-coil them the next time I have it up. Hopefully that will fix it. A temp fix is using lots of silicone though.
