Title: How Much HP can the M47 crank take?
Post by: futron.sim on July 06, 2008, 05:21:23 AM
Hi! Any idea how much can the M47 crankshaft take? I intend to buy the crank from MM but have no idea how much HP it can handle. I intend to run a boosted engine at ~300-350HP so I am wondering id the crank can handle or will give way.

Thanks!

It's a forged crank and will take that power.

Sure it will handle it.Just think that the stock M47 diesel engine has at least 17:1 CR.....
