Title: a question to those of you who are using one of my M42 chips
Post by: MarkD on July 02, 2008, 03:47:49 PM
Would you mind posting the software version of your stock chip?

The software version will be a number printed on the label of your stock chip and for the 175 DME, common versions are:

1 267 355 773

1 267 356 346

1 267 356 378

My chip is made from the latest version shown above, and should replace the other two without any problems.    I'm curious if any of you have the other versions, and especially the 1 267 356 346 version as someone who bought my chip recently is saying that it does not work in his car properly.

Thanks,

Mark

1 267 356 346 over here.  Replaced with your 91 octane one.  Has been in car for approx 10k miles with no issues.

my stock chip reads 1 267 356 592. when i installed the new chip my car seemed to idle a little rougher than before. at least it seemed like it was because of the chip but i didnt get a chance to swap out with the stock chip again. also are you guys getting better fuel consumption or less?
