Hello,
Ive seen all the threads on COP, Ive seen a number of threads that talk about magnecor wires, but Ive never seen a real, thurough answer about how they fit... My question is:
If you have the 7, 8 or 8.5mm (preferably) wires, how do they fit into the stock wire holders on the engine? Magnecor claims the 8.5s are flexible enough to compress into OEM wire holders.
Do yours fit? Did you have to modify them somehow? What did you do to make them fit? Does the black plastic BMW cover still fit over the plug holes with the thick wires installed?
Any info or pictures would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
JMH

I just replaced mine with new bosch oem wires and even they don't fit very well into the stock holder. The first few went in fairly easily but the last 2 were a real bitch to cram in, maybe it has something to do with the heat cycles the plastic goes through being so close to the header, making it harder than it originally was. Who knows, even if they don't fit perfect you can always come up with some other way of securing the wires away from the header.

Do a search for the Downing Atlanta supercharger installation in a Grassroots Motorsports magazine article on this forum. They installed Magnecor wires and got some horsepower improvement, though they admitted the previous wires were shot to hell.
