Title: Do all 318is cars have central locking?
Post by: adam12hicks on June 10, 2008, 10:08:59 PM
Mine doesn't have any sort of power locks.  I have to individually lock and unlock each door and the trunk with a key.  Since I have remote lock/unlock on my other two BMWs, I'd like to have it on this one... was this an option on these cars or does my car have it and it just doesn't work?

Thanks!

I think yours just doesn't work. There should be in the trunk I believe below the locking setup for the trunk lock a box and that's the central locking electronics.

Ok I'll take a look.  The previous owner had installed a Clifford Alarm somewhere in it, there's a decal, light that works and siren visible, but I didn't get a keyfob, so I have no way of activating it.  I guess I need to see if it has a 'brain' and order a new keyfob if possible.

Thanks for the info
