Okay, this is M42 club, where most of us have varying degrees of knowledge regarding M42b18s. You have an M10b18. Completely different animal in every way that would matter. What I would suggest is that you go somewhere like r3vlimited or bimmerforums. You're more likely to find knowledge about your specific issue.
edit: My contribution would be to check all the relays, but especially the fuel pump relay.

Hey Bud. I used to own that year and model. Have you looked for vacuum leaks? Make sure all your hoses are tight. Also make sure you exhaust is flowing well. Rev up the motor and have a friend put his hand near the exhaust (NOT ON IT!!! NEAR IT) K. If you don't get a good flow of exhaust out the back, your catalytic converter might be toast. It could be plugging up the flow. If your hoses are loose or your have a air leak after the air filter could cause the car to run the way it is. Cool?

^^and all that affects fuel pressure how? He did say he was getting none.

Do you know anyone with an m10? cuz I had my ecu go out and only fail sign was that the fuel pump stopped working. Could be a start to that issue. Find someone local and see if still has problem with that ecu. I'd start there since its the source of all of the signals and you've gotten all of the other ends. Other idea is a leak in the vacuum line of the fuel pressure regulator. If its leaking pressure in that line it won't be able to keep the fuel pressure where it should be, and will drop with the bigger the leak.
