Title: 1991 318is - where is the ECU?
Post by: fruit_bearer on June 07, 2008, 08:45:12 PM
sorry for the newb question, but i couldn't find anything definitive with the search feature.

can someone tell me where the ECU is on this car?  some E30 people say they have it in the glove compartment, some E30 people say that it's accessible only through the hood/firewall.  i'd like to know for sure before i start peeling/pulling things away unnecessarily.

thanks.

it's above the plastic panel inside the glove box, accessible only from inside the car (and the glove box)

Yeah I just put an MD in myself.  Car seems to run smoother... hard to explain, but it almost feels like a more 'modern' BMW now.  I know that's a goofy description!  Not a lot of HP difference that I can tell, but still good stuff.
