hi all,
im looking to supercharge the m42. just wondering, do i have to change any of the engine internals?
would it run properly in a stock engine?
has anyone here done this?
any tips?
my mind is set on a supercharger:D

a forum member was kind enough to host the pdf of the grassroots motorsports supercharger (dasc) install

no changes to the engine internals

interesting!! good read. i see they had to use other parts of a 92'93 model, some of a z3,and the brake fluid bottle of a 2002.
one or two problems but more or less seemed ok!!
ill check out where to get a charger now. more or likely will have to import from usa

As i said in the pm, the supercharger is just a modefied version of the m62 supercharger off the mini cooper s.
If your willing to deal with the hassles of converting it then you could save a decent amount of money.
If not then the kit is relatively inexpensive, especially with the euro to dollar conversion at the moment.
Speaking of which, i think i might buy myself some performance friction 2 piece disks when im in San Francisco next month, might make a nice upgrade
