Title: vacuum hose diameter

Anyone know the diameter of the various vacuum hoses off hand? I think they're all the same. But I could be mistaken.

You are.  There are at least five different diameters.  I didn't measure them when I had it all apart, but I could tell by looking.

do the "M42 hose delete"....  then you won't have to worry about replacing many of them, or the potential failure of them (if they have not failed already).  There are many threads on this site that show exactly how to do the hose delete and which hoses can be completely removed - it's worth it, MANY of us have deleted the "spaghetti" under the intake.

:)

There will hardly be hoses any left after you do the delete.  Any existing hoses that you may have to keep or reuse, just check them for any cracks and if you do need new, buy them new from such vendors as BMA, etc...  Using the realoem.com link, you will be able to get exact BMW part numbers for any hoses you might need to replace, such as ICV or FPR hoses which HAVE to stay after the delete.

Here's one delete thread:

there's many others on this site too, just search the word "delete" or "hoses" or "heater"
