So eyebrows, yes or no? Doesn't seem to popular on the boards. Everyone wants euro grills but I don't have that type of money to spend on such subtle mods.
I have decided to get a black kidney grill. I can always change it back if I don't like it.

i like the white kidneys on my brilliantrot:

For some reason, I don't like blacked out kidneys on certain colors. With lighter colors such as alpine white or bronzit, it looks good because the black actually offers more contrast. However, colors that have a more "deep" look to them such as brilliant red or lazur blue, I think the silver of the kidneys acts as a nice contrast from both the grills and the paint. Call me crazy. Really though, euro grills don't really cost that much, I mean they are only $70 new and even less if bought used. I say if you want your car to look the way you want it, you have to be willing to pay the price, to a point of course. I for one, am totally broke and my money is better spent in the "getting this POS to run half-way decent" department.

I just looked at a bunch of eyebrow pics. Don't think I like them as much as i thought I did. Just looks too pasted on. Maybe i'll do euros sometime in the future but it's really not worth it to me now that i think of it.

whats the difference between the euro and the american grilles?
You might be able to mod the american ones to look euro if the difference isnt too much.
I used to like eyebrows on the e30 (not on the e36) but they tend to look tacked on, and not fitting with the original lines.

If you look at the US grilles there is a break in the top "bar" where the headlights are, while the euros are completely across and give an almost eyebrow look to the headlights if you look a little closer. Some people think the euros look more aggressive, I for one think they just look the way they should.

Heres a pic.

I would have to agree with Jimmy, if you are doing it cause you don't have the money don't do it, besides euro grilles aren't that expensive. But all an all, if you are trying to keep the classic look of the e30 go with the grilles, its worth the extra $$, if you want to pimp ur ride, then get the eyebrows. Nothing wrong with either of them, because in the end its what you think about how your car looks, good luck on your decision!!!
I for one just made a tough decision for my rims, after months of thinking I ordered the Kopis There on the way!!!!!

eyebrows.....Big NEGATIVE.

Or leave it alone and DRIVE.

Why were specific front grills (or headlight bezels) designed to be used in the US as opposed to those offered in Europe and visa versa? Does anyone know?
-
Probably some retarded US rule not to "obstruct" the headlights or something.
I'm not worrying about any of that stuff now, I'm saving for a total suspension rework.
