Title: Engine problem
Post by: spanish_pants on April 30, 2008, 05:04:24 AM
Hey all,

My first problem post

Yesterday i took the valve cover off to paint it. Reasembled everything and went to start the car...it backfired. I had placed the two of the plug wires incorrectly.:o
I decided to stop and leave the task for this morning.
This morning went to fire up the car again and it ran very poorly. Checked everything and it all seems to be fine.  After a few attempts to start it up i heard an awful clattering sound from the motor and quickly shut off the car.
What ever it was didnīt sound good. Considering my recent run of bad luck i wouldnīt be surprised to hear that sound is going to add up to a major repair bill.  Anyone have any ideas what it may be?
