Has anyone figured out how where to find replacement seat shocks/struts that don't cost an arm and a leg? I'm restoring my sport seats and hate to put them back together without really fixing them. But the best I can do is $50 to $80 per strut/shock. With 4 per seat, that's getting pretty pricey just to have seats that recline properly. I've tried tearing a bunch of non-sport seats apart, but have yet to find a good strut. Seems like similar parts for other cars cost in the $15 to $20 range. Has anyone found some Toyota, Geo or Yugo part that would work?
Thanks,
Noel

went to a junk yard and located a newer "Bimmer" with seat that are junk and remove the shocks from it and ask the junk attendant "how much". He gave them to me for free. I replace my on my 1984 318i. I found most of those shocks are the same up to a certain year. the one I found happen to be a mid 2000 model.
