How many vacuum lines are there on the M42??
I asked for part numbers on bimmer forums, and was told to come here.
I was on realoem.com, and I could only find two part #'s for a vacuum line, and found a good dozen or so for coolant lines...
I though I saw for sure atleast 3 vacuum lines... howcome I cannot find them on realoem.com??
Any help would be great.

Nobody knows for sure but its a lot. Some of them double as both vacuum and coolant hoses. Others don't.

The problem is bmw created a coolant circuit from the side of the head to a pipe underneath intake manifold to run hot coolant through 4 heat exchangers. 2 for the throttle body, 1 for the idle control valve and 1 for the crankcase ventilation. The last 2 involve both coolant and vac hoses some of which are cross overs.

I ripped of the throtte body heater hose mess and only 2 vacuum lines remained.
