Hey guys, I have misjudged my power steering pump issue, in essence, I dont have one...
Question - can someone please sell/send me a power steering pump from a later style motor (the 93+ im assuming), I really need this thing ASAP, I am putting my car together and I bought what I thought was a power steering pump from an E36, but it turned out to be the early model one, and useless to me...
That or the bracket - as that is all i really need, I got 4 of these damn things sitting around and none of them fit my motor!!! :(
Thank you all in advance,

I have not driven a E36. I would think it's similar to my 1991 E30. I disconnected the PS system on mine. It's rough during slow speed like when you back out of a parking spot or around parking area. But on speen higher than 20 mph it's fine. So why not eliminate it by removing the belt and let the system act like a non assist rack and pinion system.

I was thinking about it, I need to get a non-PS belt for that, and what do you do to the rack+pinion when you disconnect it?
Thank you,

i've been driving for about 2-3 months without powersteering and i see no point of going back to it. i live in the city and parking without PS is not a big trouble. as long as you keep the wheels moving the steering effort won't be too hard
