Here's the thing..I have no idea what this is..might not even be suspension related....sometimes when i start driving i hear a loud knock in the front right corner of the car..the faster i go the faster the knock/or tick..to make it stop i have to jerk the wheel hard to the left..then it goes away...i looked under the car, nothing seems lose or hanging...any thoughts?? thank you

Possibility that one of the lug bolts is a little to long? Pull the lug bolts on that wheel, and look at the tips - if any look like they are ground off, then that's what the issue is.
-
Did you check bushing, ball joints, and shock mounts?
-
i dont think it could be the bolts..after i jerk the car hard to the left, the knocking goes away..usually for a while but comes back after stopping sometimes..i dont feel any vibration..ill have to dissect around the front hub i suppose..thanks guys

Control arm bushing is my bet.
-
Does the knocking change volume on curves? (If it's knocking, and you start a corner to the left, does it get quieter? If to the right, does it get louder?)
-
no its the same..when i jerk to the left hard..it goes completely away.. then if i stop for a little bit, start off again, sometimes it comes back..

Ok..Update...its much worse now...i was driving at about 30mph..all the sudden i get an incredibly loud rapping from the back end...I have had blown shock mounts for some time now...so i know the rear suspension is working properly..could this be affecting the CV shafts?? is the rapping coming form those..???
-
Get the rear of the car up on stands, put it in neutral and then go back to the rear wheels and manually turn them. If you hear clicking, or any other abnormal noises, it's most likely a blown CV joint or bad axle... worse case scenario would be a bad diff (shot internals).
Check the dirveshaft too.
-
I actually did that the other day and i did hear some strange noises...so i am quite certain its the cv joint..it actually seized on me..i wasn't able to move the car forward until i rolled back in reverse..then i drove again..but now i wont drive it because i cant chance something worse happening especially on the highway. thanks

How about the control arm bushing? You know those things can look ok but be completely toast. Dude It could be your control arm ball joint. The one closest to the tire. When you go over a pot hole does it click or knock loudly through the car. If that is the case then replace both control arms. Cool!

Check the CSB, i had the loud banging when i stopped and started.
But if it is still there after you get above 10-15mph, it is prolly not the CSB. But if you are down there you might as well atleast take a look.
Edit: didnt read the rest of the thread
