So I've kinda been living with my hesitation, slowly but surely trying different things I thought could affect it. Checking and re-checking for vacuum leaks, swapping AFMs, ISVs, FPRs, using fuel injector cleaner. Right now my biggest 2 leads are spark plugs and coolant temp/water temp sensors.
Some background. I did what most of you had done and replaced all the vacuum lines under the intake manifold now almost 2 years ago. I also replaced the valve cover gasket/spark plug gaskets and oil pan gasket (the bolts in the fan fix). Immediately after, the car ran great. Then one day I got adventurous and wanted to install an air intake and decided to clean my AFM and ISV with throttle body cleaner. So naturally my first thought was that the AFM sensor may have gotten shorted. So I tried someone else's known good AFM and the hesitation / stumbling at idle was still present. I tried another ISV to no avail. I went over every bolt on the intake manifold and valve cover and they were all solid. I did notice pulling the plugs one time over last summer that there was still oil on the threads despite the new gasket.
Fast forward 10 months later, I decide to finally try and replace the Bosch Platinum +2s with Bosch Iridiums. The initial test was good, no hesitation, then the next day it came back full force. It was hesitating at 60mph as well as just tooling around at lower speeds. I decided to use my SUV until I can figure this out more. I still drive it locally to and from work but no long distance till I can sort this out. The car drives great otherwise.
What else could I try/check? Could coolant temp sensor or oil fouled plugs do this? All the tune-up stuff was done 2 years ago, fuel filter, pump, plugs, wires, air filter etc..

Could be your coils or plug wires.

So I take my SUV home and grab the e30 - drive it 6mi back to work...no hesitation whatsoever...
