Title: Stipped out O2 fitting
Post by: oldtimer on March 17, 2008, 06:50:27 PM
Okay maybe I had too much energy when I attempt to remove the old O2 sensor.  The O2 sensor fitting where the sensor screws into stripped out.  My question is. Is it the same thread pattern as any other O2 sensor?  The reason I ask is I had to weld one on my Suburban when I went with long headers which did not have the O2 sensor mount.  I got one from Jegg.  Are all O2 sensor threaded the same?  If so I can get a new one from Jegg and weld a new on my car.  Please advice. thank you.
