Just used your DIY to replace my fuel filter, my god my filter must've been clogged because the car runs so smoothly now! Thanks :)
-
Glad it helped smooth out the engine! Was the filter all sludged up?

it helped me get through my suspension

Glad you like them! Unfortunately I forgot my good digital camera at work the weekend I did the shocks and springs. I was pissed that I had to use my old 640x480 max resolution camera :(
I haven't done any writeups lately because the car has been running pretty well.
I think I'll have the grand-daddy of writeups in the springtime when I take apart a section of the engine to replace the timing chain/sprockets/guide rails and I'll also drop the oil pan and check the upper pan bolts.

Is there some sort of cover over filter usually? Ive been installing new subframe last 2 weekends but never saw anything that looks like the filter in that aera.

In Europe, they're located in the engine compartment.

Changing the fuel filter is easier than replacing the spark plugs.....loosen four clamps, replace filter, retighten clamps....right in front of driver side rear wheel!

hey anyone have tips for replacing the hoses while in there?
