anyone used the above rods?
they seem very cheap?
quality?

they are the right lenght! (140mm), the other eagles on ebay are 135mm.
bump for quality, they're really cheap!
found this about them:

I'm confused... No wait! Maybe I'm not
Is that price for single con rod or set of 4? If it is set of 4 then they are indeed dirt cheap but that sounds almost impossible to be true.

set of 4.

Ok, now I'm interested :)
It would be good to get some indication about the quality, just because they are H profile rods does not mean they are much better then stock for all applications.
On high revving engine you need con rod to be able to take mainly stretching stress load of piston mass at the TDC in the end of exhaust cycle when the deceleration is greatest and there is little pressure actin on top of the piston. What mostly affects this is cross sectional area of con rod and quality of surface so there is no places where cracking could begin.
On forced induction engines revs are lower but con rods must be able to take lots more compressing stress when the piston is pushed down by pressure. And on this purpose H section con rods can be better, even if the quality of rod is not superb.
It does not matter that much if the con rod is round shaped if you stretch it because there is no chagne of it bending sideways. But if you try to compress the round shape it is way worse than H shape of same cross sectional area.

so what is the general consensus? should i invest in a set?

You have custom pistons fitted with oem 140mm rod lenght, right?
If you have this combo, I would say yes!
If your pistons are made to be in with 140mm rods, buy them, they're cheap, and then write something about them.:)
Sure they're an improvement when compared to oem m42 rods.
sorry if I can't be more helpful than this, but it's your decision:D

yes i have custom pistons 8.0:1 ratio
stock crank
stock conrods
im pushing 22psi but want to keep pushing my power levels, with more boost
and eventually custom cams, custom intake manifold, and a hit of NOS

I bought a set, they look good
we'll see how they hold up when i get a chance to fit them, prob in a few months
