hello, i'm new to the site and the bmw world. i have to install an upper and lower oil pan on my 91 318is which i bought a few months ago. i have done a bit of research and found out i have to : unbolt motor mounts and lift engine in order to get upper pan out and back in. i know there are two bolts on the back of the upper pan which attach to the bellhousing. in order to get them out i have to move the motor forward a few inches away from the trans. does this mean i have to unbolt all bolts which attach trans to the motor? is this right? is their anything else i should know?
thanks in advance.
