I know this was discuss some time ago. has anyone modified the vacuum lines under the intake: one re-routing them for easy access, two replaced them so to eliminate all the couplings tha promote air leak. Also, I re-call that someone installed some kind of re-covery system and filteration on the valve cover tube. Who ever done this mod. I would to do something with mine while I have the intake out. My erratic idle has lead me to investigate the posibility of vacuum leak coming from that area.

I have since used short sections of heavier hose for the water line cut offs. I cut most of the threads off two bolts a little longer than the hose clamp width. The caps from the "Help" rack at Autozone were a bit thin. After eliminating the water lines and throttle body heater, there are only two lines remaining. The crankcase vent from the valve cover and the ICV circuit. I still have the vacuum line to the fuel pressure valve on the injector rail and and the line to the charcoal cannister.

Thanks for the input. I plan on tackling this on this week end and hopefully it will help with the my erratic idle I am dealing with.
