Title: Where is temp gauge sender?

I need to test the temp gauge sender on my 1991 318i.  Not to ask a dumb question, but where it is located?  The Bentley manual is unclear as to its location.  Thanks for your help.  I someone wants to post a photo, that would be great.

Believe it is under the intake manifold as shown here:

Would have to cross reference the part #'s to see what sensor is which.
