Title: high revving m42???
Post by: ten2doyle102 on February 05, 2008, 05:51:49 PM
I was wondering how high it is possible to rev these motors too.  i was planning rebuilding the motor in a couple months and i dont know what mods i should look into.  Also, is it going make a difference really if i can get it to rev higher, i already got to 7k but it feels like the power drops off around 6.5k.

i am turning my 318 into an autocross car and i want to make a good n/a motor that has enough power to take on some of the 325's and such.  what are some of the engine mods your all running???

just wondering!

Matt

there has been a thread on everyone's rev limits and mods recently, i'll try to find it for you

edit: here you go http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4558&highlight=engive+rev+limit

cant really help you more since i have a plain stock engine that happily revs to 6000+ on various occasions
