well as the title says looking at buying new wheels with tax return been looking a rota slipstreams or so team racing dynamic wheels or maybe some sportmax in a 16x8 the wheels will probly be silver cause im not really into the dark face centers but im not aposed

is this a WTB, or are you posing the question to get pictures of wheels posted up?
-
i personally like the OZ racing superturismo WRC or some compomotive.

I would try to get a set of kosei k1's. Not sure if they come in that size with a four lug pattern though. They are light and pretty cheap. Many people run them on the track and they hold up well.

K1's are a great wheel but they are burden to look at.
-
Slipstreams look pretty good, but I am not a fan of the sportmaxxorz at all :). Anything with a mesh style usually looks pretty good.

For other ideas, I seem to recall reading that mini wheels will work (IDK, it may require spacers to have the appropriate offset)....

Mini wheels will mount to an E30 but they are wicked heavy and would totally suck ass

Really, how much do they weigh? I just assumed that they would be decent. Although I should realize that profit motive gets in there. The new one series apparently is made of lead as well. I agree that the low unsprung weight thing is very important for a nimble light car like an M42. I recant my suggestion of mini-wheels. :)

are the wheels in your signature superturismo? would you have a larger picture?

My wheels are 16 inch mille miglia. I saw pics (stumbled across on Chicago Craigslist) before I bought them- on a eurospec E30, and wondered if they came over with the car, but I don't know.
They do require 1/2 inch spacers, and a spec e-30 racing guy gave me grief about that. I guess that is unnecessary unsprung weight.

The wheels from the first gen MINI (not Mini) are actually quite light. About 12-13 lbs. for the 15x5.5 wheel on the base car, IIRC.
