My car recently started making a juddering/rattling noise when i make left turns. It seems worse when the car is cold and going at low speeds. It never does it when i turn to the right and it sometimes does it lightly when i'm going straight. It sounds like its coming from the rear end. What's weird is if i'm making a left turn and its making the noise pretty bad and i push the clutch in, the noise fades out. Someone on r3v had a similar problem but he said it just went away on its own. Any ideas?

i had the same thing going on (minus the clutch), and it was the rear wheel bearings. PITA to do yourself, so i paid 500 to get both done. grab your wheels and shake em hard to see if you can feel or hear any play. just an idea.

thanks for the help. i think it might be goin to the shop soon if i can't figure it out.

so it turns out that at some point when i took the car apart and put it back together again i didn't tighten one of the exhaust support things enough and it was rattling against the exhaust during left turns. I feel pretty stupid but i guess i'm lucky thats all it was.

Good to hear it was a simple fix.
