Title: Windows and ac/heat Blower don't work
Post by: HarrisonS on January 22, 2008, 10:55:41 AM
Hey Guys,

I replaced my starter and now my windows and the ac/heater blower don't work.  I made sure to disconnect the battery when I replaced the starter, so I dont think I fried anything.  I've already checked my fuses and they're good.  Something loose?  Any ideas?

I had this same prob. Like you, it happened right when I swapped out the starter. Turns out I had to disconnect and ground one of those wires off the starter. I can't remember which one it was.Even now it doesn't make sense to me, but it works. I grounded it to that bracket that secures that power box right above the starter.

Bump what he said. It seems that the small black/green wire coming from the harness to the starter area needs to be grounded in order for the windows and blower to receive power, anyone know why? and why those systems specifically?

Thanks Screamer!
