Title: aftermarket sterring wheels
Post by: jfdublyu on April 28, 2006, 09:40:01 PM
does anyone know how many holes there are for the sterring wheel? I'm trying to find out what type of momo adapter i need. I have the airbag steering wheel.

one splined hole.  Get on ebay and search for " e30 momo adapter" I picked mine up for $45 shipped.  You will need that adpater and a spacer because the adapter is meant for a non-airbag steering column.

I have a Sparco 368.  Sexy

hey, i found a 15mm and a 25mm spacer on ebay, what's the smallest size that will fit? Or, what size do you have and where is the steering wheel in relation to the ol airbag one? same, farther, or closer? cause i would actually like mine to be a little closer than stock (i have shorter arms being only about 5'8")

The spacer you need is not for the wheel itself.  You put it in front of the adapter under the steering shaft nut.

The spacer he is talking about I believe is just a steering column ring. You can get one from the dealership for like 6 bucks. Dont remember the part # but if Febi Guibo can chime in, he may be able to provide it.

I made it out of aluminum.  I dont remember the dimensions but you could just stack some washers if you're ghetto.

It's tough finding the right washers... even in the ghetto!

you want a steering ring #32311120260

works like it was meant to be there

I've had a couple of steering wheels and by far my favourite is the M Tech 1 (the one with the /// stripe on the bottom of the vertical spoke).
