I am coming from the 2002 world...at least engine work...where you locktight in exhaust studs. Do you need to do this with the m42?

Not really, but I do anyway. Not because I fear that they will back out, but more of a corrosion resistance thing. If there is Loctite on there, the likelihood that I will actually be able to remove them in the future is much greater.

I just removed my headers, and the studs came right out! I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing, b/c I only see exhaust NUTS being sold on parts websites.
Is it okay to reuse the old exhaust studs/nuts?

those are fairly common metric automotive studs.
You should be able to find new ones that are identical online or even at local auto stores.

Mine came right out when I took the header off and I could not get the nuts off. I bought new studs and nuts from the dealer...
I will not use locktight
