has anyone ever seen one of these?
i think it looks great (maybe cause it has more old school factor than the 2002sedan)
and never thought it existed before this morning
if anyone has pictures or projects or a body to sell i'd be interested to know how it goes

I saw a cool one at a vintage day here hosted by BMWCCA. I posted some pics on this thread:

Enjoy.

i find the touring very attractive. i guess finding one for sale is very hard though. would make a fascinating project IMO

i saw one of these in performance bmw mag once. it was bad ass. i thought it was a custom fab job though.

They're nice, but ultra ultra rare. There were only 2 ever officially imported into the US.
-
then i'll have to be the third lol!
or maybe i should keep it as a desktop wallpaper instead. less pricey!

You might have better luck in Canada. The one I took pics of was imported from Vancouver. Don't think any were initially imported to the US, they came via Canada. There are some "gray" market tourings around though. Good luck ;)

so Canada had a larger amount of individual imports or was it officially sold in bmw dealers? i really don't have enough funds to buy one now unless its in really poor condition but its always interesting to learn about those special cars
one day.. if there's still any around i'll have one in my garage

Canada basically got a bunch of the more-euro stuff that never made it to the US. They Even TVR sells stuff there, I think.
