It seems as though when I'm trying to get up to speed, especially on the hwy., that when I get close to 3000 rpm's my engine starts to stutter. Sometimes the "Check Engine" light will even come on. As soon as I let off the gas pedal a little it will go off. I just purchased this 318 last week so I have not had the car very long. I have had the rpms way above 3000 before though.
Car is not overheating at all and I am not smelling a gas smell like i'm running really rich. Everything seems normal otherwise. Anyone have a similar problem or heard of it before? Advice please. Thanks everyone

what codes are you getting?

Sounds like plugs/wires or coil. Check the codes first though that should help identify it. Thats pretty much the same thing mine was doing and I did a Coil on plug conversion and it runs great now.
It could be a few other things though so start with the codes getting read first.
