Title: need to build exhaust piping... some info required :)
Post by: HaNasich on January 05, 2008, 05:37:42 PM
Hi all
going from M40B16 to M42B18 i realized i cant use the old exhaust pipes.
since M42 are not that common around here i need some info about the exhaust piping from the exhaust mani and on...
what is the diameter of the piping of the 2-1 Y shaped part of the exhaust (before the O2 sensor)
How long are the runners of the 2-1 Y shaped part?
what is the diameter of the rest of the piping?

thanks

Ron.

I think that the header piping is 1.75", but I am not too sure of that. The rest is 2.25" Sorry, can't help with the rest...

The M40 has a diameter of 1.75. The M42 has 1.9. I went with 2.25 all around.
