Title: front cover (timing case) alignment

Is this normal?  All the bolts line up properly.  Looks like there is a bit of oil loss there as well.

Looks a little off (obviously). Are the two pieces flush across the machined edge on the top there, facing the camera?

If it were me, I'd probably pull it off and redo it, but I'm funny that way...

I just opened mine and it looks similar?

They may not always line up exact. If you just assembled it, go for a realignment. Use SOME silicone, not a lot.

If the gaskets are old, leave it and toss a bit of silicone there, it should take care of it.
