Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem to the following and how they may have solved it.
Basically it all started about 2 months ago when my fuel pump died. Took me a while to get around to replacing but have finally done that. Now i find i am geting no power to the fuel pump. I traced it out and the fuel pump realay is not getting the signal from the ecu to ground the coil. All other signals are there, and the alarm is on the other side of the relay.
Has anyone had any problems with the ecu not grounding the relay, Is there some possible reason that the ecu might deliberatly do this.
Oh its also worth noting that i had the car disconnected from the battery for about a month. Charged the battery up again and connected it back up.
Thanks in advance guys
Adam

Try changing the fuel pump relay.

Are you getting any codes from your ecu ?

I have tried swapping the relay but no change. Im not sure i can check codes. think only the US cars displayed error codes.
Thanks again

Run power from the battery direct to the pump. If the pump works, wiggle the plug on the end of the wires to the pump. If it doesn't make contact the circuit won't close and trigger the relay. Vibration from the pump over the years can sometimes spread the sockets inside the plug and they won't grip the prongs on the pump tightly.
