Ok so i have gotten to the point on my 318is that i got it running the way i want and i would say it looks pretty good to. However i don't have fog lights. I got a new head light switch with the fog light button on it off of my dads old 325i. Is this hard to switch out my old non fog one for one with it? now does someone make the wiring harness required to go from there to the fuse box to the lights? also, i need to buy fog lights, but does anyone have a good resource or an eBay link to the right ones that fit my 91 318is? Thank you all so much for all the help in the past months!

everything is pre-wired, and the fact that you have a headlight switch from a car that HAD foglights is a good sign.
You now need a relay, the fogs, and the machine screws and plastic anchors to bolt the fogs into the lower valance.
part #'s are escaping me, will edit this post when I can find em....

The relay should already be there!

Are the wires just under the bumper?? any suggestions on the right fog lights to get? i have seen some with different brackets on them. Thanks!

it wasn't on my non-foglight car, you doof!
the wires are behind / under the front bumper... prolly wrapped up with the headlight wiring harness
if in the patently unlikely event you don't have the relay, I think it's #61.31-1374631 -- $14 at the dealer...
(but I will sell you the one out of Denis' car for $2 shipped)
:)
I would try to stick to OEM fogs... expensive new, but if you are willing to be a little patient, you can buy one good one at a time (junk cars rarely have two good fogs), sometimes for less than the cost of a used pair.

Febi- thanks for all the info! i will check for the relay tonight. I am assuming it would be in the fuse box and be pretty easy to determine if it is missing or not. If it is missing i will take u up on the relay you have. Thanks!

You bastard! Already trying to sell shit of my car...
I may have a SPARE relay, just get me the correct P/N and I will search around.

Search ebay for "BMW E30 fog lights". OEM and copies plus some unusual aftermarket ones.

Thanks let me know what you want for it as well. I did end up finding a nice set of fogs on ebay and really not as bad of a price as i thought. Thanks again for all of the help!

ok so i went to add all of my stuff this weekend for the fogs. Had a problem. when i took the flat plate off that covered teh hole for the fog light button, i found nothing behind it that it could plug into to work! I found the plugs for the lights them selves and i added the 7.5 fuses to the box, but i could not plug the button in to anything. HELP!!!!!

Has anyone had this problem?? i can not find the wiring the fog light button inside the car plugs into. I know it must be there since everything else was there in the car. please let me know where this is or who to find it. Thanks!

I have heard that people have found this plug bundled and taped up near the steering wheel. I'm working on installing some fog lights as well...thats where I plan to look for it.

I had to drop the orange module under the dash to get to the connector.
