Title: How do i swap an auto to a manual?

Hi guys, like the title says I have an auto E36 and obviously i want to change it to a manual :) My question is what exactly do i need parts wise? i have access to a friends totaled Manual E36 325i. Would the the 325i trans fit on my car? Thanks for all the help in advance guys. This forum tends to be alot more helpful then a previous Bmw forum i came from :D
