Title: I finally got an engine!!!
Post by: rfritz on December 12, 2007, 09:48:43 AM
Well, after being out of the e30 loop for awhile and my car sitting in the garage, I finally found a donor engine that came with a ceramic clutch, transmission and wiring harness located in Chicago for a good deal. We had to drive through an ice storm to get it last Sunday, but it is worth it if you ask me. I will post a write-up on swapping the engine. I will also include in that process my COP conversion and elimination of the throttle body heater plate and associated hoses. Now I have a shitload of cleaning and swapping between the engines to get everything ready. It is like having 20 small projects within 1 large project. :D

BTW - I have 2 A/C compressors with block mount, 2 P/S pumps, 1 P/S reservoir and associated hoses I would like to part with if anyone is interested.

Are they the right AC compressors for a 318is? My p/s hoses are also slowly leaking, but I haven't figured out if it is just a seal.
