Title: Alternator Noise
Post by: nicknikolovski on December 07, 2007, 04:15:43 AM
Hi guys,

I have a 93 318is coupe and I have noticed that whenever I start the car for the first time during the day (cold start), there is a strange rattling/metallic type noise coming from the alternator. What could this be? It only happens while the car is idling. My production year is 03/93 so it hasn't got an idler pulley like in >09/93 318is M42.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?
