OK, I've tried everything except going to the parts counter at the dealer and figured I'd try here first.
Does anyone know what is 'insulating hose' (p/n 9975 349)? Its #12 in the diagram below.

I've taken the cooling, intake, fuel and vent systems apart (WTF!) and can't figure out what this one part is. I've read about deleting/plugging hoses and pipes in the archives but want to keep everything stock (for now).
TIA

I did that same job. I just made sure what I took out looked like what I put in. No insulating hose was present before or after.

Thanks strad, I wasn't sure because even though my m42 appears to be original there are a couple hoses in the RealOEM.com diagrams which look different. That is a great website though, having all the part#'s before I went to the FLAPS saved a lot of time and probably a few headaches.
