Title: Engine Temp Sensor
Post by: M42boy on April 24, 2006, 07:50:08 PM
Okay, I have a question regarding the engine temp sensors.  There are two on in the head on the 318is.

I ordered one of these from Autohaus AZ, but not sure which one I have.

See this image:

One is a "coolant temp sensor" (#6), the other is simply a "temperature sensor" (#8).  The one I ordered from Autohaus AZ is a Bosh sensor with a blue end plug.  I only have Bosch PN, which is #0280130026.  I think this is #8 in the picture, but was hoping someone could confirm or at least confirm the color of the plug on thier motor for me.  My car is not in the garage right now, so I can't look at my own.  I need to order the one I don't already have soon, and don't want two of the same one.

Thanks!!!

Funny you should mention this.  I happen to have the other sensor you're looking for.  See the link to my sale:

Item #3 of my sale.  LMK if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer Brian, but coincidently, I had previously ordered the correct part at another time from Autohauz and I forgot I already had it.  I think it cost me about $5 too.
